Gene Wise

Eugene (Gene) B. Wise, 61, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2006 in Sevier County, TN. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served during Vietnam and a member of American Legion Post #81. Gene loved to hunt, camp, fish, throw darts, cook and spend time with his family. He was a cook for 42 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Baxter Wise and Catheryn Bass Wise; two sisters, Ruth Harrington and Savannah Elrod; and one brother, Robert Wise.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia E. Wise of Sevierville, son, Bobby Eugene Swalley of Nowata, OK; brother, James Wise and his wife Rusty; six step children, Kristie Whaley and husband Jackie, Walter Deckert and wife Sina, Michael Deckert, Jr., Misty Deckert, Sherry Miller and husband Jeff, and Kathy Hinkle; five grandchildren, Kendra Whaley, Anthony Deckert, Brian Miller, Brandy Hinkle and Becky Lynn and husband Jonathan; great grandchildren, Summer Lynn, Dillon Lynn, Michael Hinkle, Cody Hinkle, and Marie Barnette; and father in law and mother in law, Emerson and Wanda Gee.
