William E. Woody

William E. Woody, Sr., age 74, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2007, in a local hospital. He was retired from Tennessee Distributors as a salesman. Mr. Woody was a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Woody and parents, Oakley Ervin Woody and Annie Baker Woody.

Survivors include his loving son and daughter in law, Bill and Charlotte Woody, Cleveland, TN; one brother, Oakley Edward (Buddy) Woody and Sherry, Cleveland, TN, four sisters, Pat Tankersley and Bucky, Cleveland; Joann Goforth, Cleveland; Shirley Smith and Leon, Cleveland and Carolyn Ledford and David, Cleveland. Three grandchildren, Nathan Woody, Sacha Crossen and Jennifer Woody. Four great grandchildren, Bailee Crossen, Brody Crossen, Kaelib William Price and Madyson Price. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery with Nathan Woody, Bucky Tankersley, David Tankersley, Leon Smith, Bobby Baker, Charlie Hill and David Ledford serving as pallbearers.
