Gladys Price Wyatt

Gladys Price Wyatt, age 94, resident of Charleston, TN, died peacefully on Friday, January 15 after a very short illness. Her husband, Harlan J. Wyatt, preceded her death in 1988. They had five children: Rebecca Louise Day, Abingdon, VA, Martha Mae Johnston, Ardmore, AL, Melinda Sue Ledford (deceased), Ronald Jacob Wyatt (deceased) and Donald Harlan Wyatt, Charleston, TN. One sister, Ova Elliott, Abingdon, VA.

Grandchildren include Richard and Jennifer Day, Charlotte, NC, Frank and Cathy Day, Marietta, GA, Robert and Elizabeth Johnston, Anchorage, AK, Chuck and Harolene Johnston, Pulaski, TN, Randy and Sabrina Johnston, Davis, CA, Janet Ledford Connior, Cleveland, TN, Len Ledford, Spokane,WA and Rhinda Kaye Jones of Cleveland, TN. Eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Gladys taught school at Charleston Elementary School for twenty years. She enjoyed her children, her grandchildren, her church friends and gardening, with a love for flowers.

She was a member of Tasso United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home. The funeral will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at Tasso United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Ft. Hill Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the Tasso United Methodist Church.

She will be dearly missed by all.
