Ray Daniel Yates

Ray Daniel Yates, age 83, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 30, 2008, at the family residence. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Cleveland. He was a retired security guard with Millers Outpost. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country in both World War II and the Korean War. He retired from active duty with 22 years of service. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marta Yates.

He is survived by one son and daughter in law, Winfred and Deanna Yates, Cleveland, TN, one daughter and son in law, Anita and Lee Snijders of Venezuela. Five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
