Luther F. Clingan

Luther Franklin Clingan, 77, a lifelong resident of McDonald, TN, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010, in a local health facility. He was of the Church of God faith. He was preceded in death by his first spouse, Frances Clingan, and his parents, Joe and Dora Clingan. He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Sue Kirkland Clingan; three stepsons, Gary Kirkland, Ronald Kirkland, and Gordon Kirkland, all of Chester, NY; five stepdaughters, Wilma Noctora, Pat Slotnick, and Brenda McCormick, all of Chester, NY, Carolyn Silveria of Bradenton, FL, and Kathy Shirk of Madisonville, TN; one sister, Dorothy Barker of Forest Park, GA; and five nieces, VerLinda Allman, Ginger and Angelica Marin, Ruben Barker, and Barbara Ellis. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charlie Williams officiating. Grissom Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
