Marguerite C. Anderson, age 101 ½, formerly of Nashville, passed away Friday, February 04, 2011 in a local hospital. While living in Nashville she was a member of the Woodland Presbyterian Church where she was active for many years. She was retired from the State of Tennessee, Rehabilitation for the Blind and from Avon, Inc. In Cleveland, she was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church. She was very active in the Fealty Sunday School class, adult activities, and family activities. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband W. Clarence Anderson. She is survived by son, Walter C. Anderson, Jr. and wife Lynne of Shelbyville, KY; daughter, Jacquelyn Johnson and husband Dr. William Johnson, II of Cleveland; grandchildren, Derek Anderson and wife Heather of Orange, CA, Missy Elliott and husband Jay, Shelley Meredith and husband Brandon, Andy Johnson and wife Stacy, all of Chattanooga, and Kattia Ruiz of Honduras; great-grandchildren, Declan Anderson,J. Y. Elliott, Boon Elliott, Hayden Meredith, Mac Meredith, Wills Johnson, and Charlie Johnson; nieces, Virginia Elam of Nashville and Betty Yates and husband Charles of Florence, AL along with several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Broad Street United Methodist Church with Pastors Reed Shell and Debbie Stokes officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville at 3 p.m. CST with Rev. Harry Hassall and Rev. John McCullough officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Jacquelyn Johnson and Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Distant Missions of Broad Street United Methodist Church or to the Kattia Ruiz educational fund through Broad Street United Methodist Church, P.
