Muriel Coffey, 90, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 17, 2011. She attended South Cleveland Church of God and was a member of the Primetimer's Group. She loved quilting, crocheting, Gospel music, fishing and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Coffey; parents, Maynard and Bertha Whitmire Varnell; one brother, James Varnell; one sister, Frances McSpadden; and two sons, Jimmy J. Coffey and Jack D. Coffey. Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Larry W. and Jackie Coffey of Cottonwood, CA; four daughters, Ella Mae Carson of Cleveland, Anita Faye Day and Wanda Marie Mangus, both of Catoosa, OK; and Barbara Sue McCune and husband Donald of Otis, CO; one brother, Tommy Varnell and wife Ann of Cleveland; three sisters, Dorothy Ross, Pauline Phillips, and Christine Swafford, all of Cleveland; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Grissom Funeral with Pastor Chris Moody, Rev. Barton Coffey, and Rev. Mark Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Curtis Coffey, Kraig Mangus, Arden Seaborn, Matthew Howell, Max Swafford, Landon Seaborn, and David Day serving as pallbearers.
