Timothy A. Dillard

Tim Dillard, 69, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011. He was a member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and the Agape Sunday School class. He was a past President and Vice President of the Cherokee Beekeepers Association. He was a member of the South Central Chapters of Holly Society of America and Woodmen of the World. Tim was a lover of nature, gardening, beekeeping and travel. He was a former employee of Tellico Village and was self-employed as a plumber. Tim was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence A. and Dorothy Aiken Dillard; two brothers, William A. Dillard and Samuel Dillard; one brother in law, Don Melton; one uncle, Carl Aiken; and one aunt, Mildred Tate. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Dillard of Cleveland; niece, Dorothy Lynn Dillard of Perry, GA; sisters in law, Elaine Dillard of Charleston, TN and Linda Melton of Cleveland; aunt, Jeannette Aiken of Cleburne, TX; and many cousins and friends. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Smith and Jay Burgess officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Memorial Garden at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Agape Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-3 p.m. at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund.
