Margaret Ann Smith

Margaret Ann Smith, 66, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was born June 27, 1944 to the late Henry and Bonnie Rogers Shamblin. She was a graduate of Charleston High School, Class of 1962. She was a Christian of the Baptist faith. She was a wonderful mother and loving wife. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Bill Shamblin, David Shamblin and Houston Shamblin. Survivors include her husband Fred L. Smith of Cleveland; one son, Gregory Smith; brothers, Gene Shamblin of Cleveland, Junior Shamblin and Kenneth Shamblin, both of Charleston, TN; one sister, Edna Wade of Cleveland; and one brother in law, Luther Smith. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Hicks and Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Jerry Venable, Zane Harris, Bo Harris, Harland Waters, Robert Shipman, and James Clark serving as pallbearers.
