Leslie Bea Butler, 86, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 in a local healthcare facility. She was born in McKinney, TX on January 21, 1925 to the late Robert Lee Melton and Loretta Warden Melton. She was a member of the North Cleveland Church of God. She was a faithful pastor's wife for fifty-one years and a retired business owner of the Goodwill Mission Store for twenty-six years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Russell Butler; sister, Gladys Cross and her husband, Rev. Arthur Cross; brother, J. D. Melton, Jr. and his wife, Vera May Melton. Survivors include her sisters, Willie Wilson and husband, Curtis of Sherman, TX and Dessie Melsted and husband Robert of Clermont, FL; and five nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Rev. Cecil Guiles officiating. Grissom Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
