Mildred McPheeters Ramsey Rose

Mildred McPheeters Ramsey Rose, 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband John Vernon Rose; parents, Thomas H. McPheeters and Anna Ratcliff McPheeters; three brothers, James, Thomas and Eugene McPheeters; three sisters, Irene McPheeters Hawkins, Mary Louise McPheeters Cox, and Ruth McPheeters Cain. Survivors include two sons, John Wayndle Ramsey of Texas and Eugene Ramsey (Julie) of Cleveland; daughter, Retha Ramsey Harris (Burt) of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Sean Carden, Destiny Jackson, and Matthew Ramsey; three great grandchildren, Ana Carden, Gauge Arnold, and Conner Arnold; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Sears and Rev. Dean Hawkins officiating. Interment will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Chestuee Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Barry Lee officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt. Olive Church Children's Ministry.
