Debbie Massengale Phillips

Debbie Phillips, 54, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, April 19, 2011 at the family residence. She was a graduate of Bradley Central High School and owner of Eddie's Auto in Benton, TN. Debbie married her high school sweetheart and was a devoted and loving wife to Eddie for 34 years. She worked alongside of him in their auto repair business for 17 years. They were devoted to their marriage, their family and one another. They loved spending time together. On April 19 they left this earth and entered into their eternal home to meet other loved ones. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Debbie had many interests that she shared with her husband, family and friends. She enjoyed boating, camping and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She was a funny and fun person who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. She will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Phyllis Brown Massengale; grandparents, Bessie and J. V. "Happy" Brown and a very special aunt, Wanda Hamby; father and mother in law, Luther and Frankie Jordan Phillips; brothers in law, Leon Phillips, David Phillips and Glenn Britt. She is survived by daughters, Samantha (Jimmy) Lackey and Priscilla Williams; grandchildren, Madison, Makenzie, Charlie, Mollie and Carter; a special cousin and friend, Donna Fox; two very special uncles and aunt, Gene Hamby and Abe and Mary Massengale; one sister, Kathy Massengale; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at The Dwelling Place Church, 523 Urbane Road, Cleveland, TN with Pastors Jamie and Judy Jacobs Tuttle officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Tim Posey, Steve Rakestraw, Colby Still, Jordan Still, Jacen Phillips, and Jeremy Bishop serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday from 3-9 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Educational Fund for the Grandchildren, c/o Bank of Cleveland, P. O.
