Audrey Davidson Stoutt Hacker Vogt (Granny), age 87, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011. Audrey was born March 5, 1924 to the late Charles and Alice Davidson. She was a member of Philippi Baptist Church. She retired from Luke Air Force Exchange in Phoenix, AZ in 1988 and moved back to Cleveland in 1993 where she worked at Lee University in food service for 10 ½ years. She loved house plants, making jelly and jams, sewing and making quilts for family and friends. She was the widow of World War I veteran, James E. Stoutt, Sr. In addition to her first husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Zirkle Hacker and Robert Vogt, Sr.; two sons, James Stoutt, Jr. and David Baxter Stoutt; one granddaughter, Teresa Stoutt; five sisters, Mildred Davidson, Margie Davidson, Peggy Matney, Inez Matney, and Becky Griswald; three brothers, Bill Davidson, Ray Davidson, and Charles Davidson; and three brothers in law, Harding Matney, Bill Matney and Joe Roberts. Survivors include two daughters, Janet Gray and Casey McMurray (Bob); five granddaughters, Kelli Paul (Todd) of Calhoun, Amy Tilley of Cleveland, Yukie Christopher of Norfolk, VA, Jennifer Hosfield of Maryland, and Tia Gray of Cleveland; four grandsons, Darren Gray, George Gray, both of Cleveland, David Gray (Claudia) of El Paso, TX, and Dustin McMurray (Conswella) of Cleveland; and sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Hooker and Rev. Richard Watson officiating. Interment will follow in Willard Park Cemetery in Harriman, TN.
