Mrs. Lovell Beatrice St. John, 87, of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord, early Saturday morning June 4, 2011 at her residence. She served alongside her husband the late Rev. E. C. St. John in ministry for thirty-six years as pastor's wife, Sunday school teacher, and ladies ministry director; all the while she nurtured, loved and was relentlessly dedicated to her 13 children. She lived unpretentiously, loved unconditionally and prayed unceasingly. She was a member of North Cleveland Church of God. Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents Howard and Virginia Johnson, one brother Randall Johnson, and a son Lee St. John. She is survived by sons: Worth St. John of Junction City, Ky., Carlton & Sheila St. John of Raleigh, NC., Dr. David & Theresa St. John of Lenexa, Ks., Olan & Dr. Angela St. John of Cleveland, Wayne & Katrina St. John of Johnson City, TN., and Wes Phillips of Cleveland whom she loved as a son. Daughters: Sharon Fortune and Gwin St. John of Johnson City, Tn., Jenny & Bob Steward of Chester, Va., Donnis & Alan Turner of Hopewell, Va., Rachel & Al Arreola of Lenexa, Ks., Joncie St. John and Jill & Duane Parker of Cleveland, and Brother: Worth & Jane Johnson of Keysville, Va., Sisters: Ruth Cobb of Pasadena, Ca., Allen Hunter of Hopewell, Va., 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The celebration of her home going will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday June 7, 2011 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with Dr. David St. John and Rev. Mitchell Maloney officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Garden with grandsons: Kenneth Fields, Coe St. John, Dallas Arreola, Austin St. John, Houston St. John, Garrett Parker and Tyler Stone as pallbearers.
