John A. Harden

John A. Harden, 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, July 06, 2011 at his home. He retired from the United States Army. He was a member of the Cleveland Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Belle Bowerman Harden; parents, John and Emma Dodson Harden; sister, Opal Suits, brothers, Sam E. Harden and James (Jim) Ruble. Survivors include sisters, Bonnie Bishop and Aileen Wooten; several nieces and nephews; and special niece and caregiver, Kim Bennett. Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Huel Hooker officiating. Interment will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens concluding with Military Honors. The family will receive friends Friday from 1-7 p.m. prior to the service.
