Jimmy Ray Tilson

Jimmy Ray Tilson, 61, a resident of Charleston, TN, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2011 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheryl Dixon Tilson; daughter, Misty Michelle Tilson; parents, Robert and Ethel Ownbey Tilson; two brothers, Tony J. Tilson and Blaine Lee Tilson; and one sister, Margaret Ogle. Survivors include two daughters, Alexis Clowers (Debron) of Riceville and Samantha Schichtel (Barratt) of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Madilyn Goodwin, Reese Goodwin, Lola Schichtel, and Kenzie Clowers; one brother, Robert Tilson, Jr.; six sisters, Marie Vance, Myrtle Ogle, Betty Ogle, Barbara Presley, Beverly Samples, and Mary Latham; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Watkins officiating. Interment will follow in Calhoun First Baptist Church Cemetery with Debron Clowers, John Zanker, Corey Hood, Randy Rapier, Austin Presley, and Larry Latham serving as pallbearers.
