William G. Emrey, Jr., age 72, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was a charter member of Northside Presbyterian Church. He was in the wrecker industry for over 30 years retiring from Miller Industries, where he served as purchasing manager. He previously worked at Burlington Industries. He was a charter member of the Ocoee Beekeepers Association. He attended the University of Tennessee and graduated from Bradley Central High School. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Lynn Webb Emrey and his parents, Marion Lawrence Candler Emrey and William G. Emrey, Sr. Survivors include two sons, William G. "Bill" Emrey III and his wife Lori of Ooltewah and John A. Emrey and his wife Angel of Athens, TN; one daughter, Karen Emrey Collins and her husband Jon of Cleveland; six grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Emrey, William G. Emrey IV, Alexis G. Emrey, Preston J. Emrey, James Herman Collins, and Katelynn Jewell Collins; one brother, Milton C. Emrey of Cumming, GA; one brother in law, John P. Webb and his wife, Linda of Townsend, TN; and several nephews and one niece. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Northside Presbyterian Church with Rev. Heidi Johnson officiating. Interment will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Townsend. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
