Robert R. Owen

Robert R. Owen, age 71, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011 in a Chattanooga hospital. He retired from Bowater and was a member of the Chattanooga Boat Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lilburn Owen and Lucy Burnette Owen; one son, Kevin Owen and his father in law, James Kibble. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty Owen; one son and daughter in law, Todd and Kelly Owen; grandson, James Todd Owen, Jr.; and mother in law, Lora Kibble, all of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Arris Cavender officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Sunset Memorial Gardens with James Harris, Bill Creech, Tim Posey, Calvin Paul, David Bunch, and Todd Pool serving as pallbearers.
