Raymond F. Janis, Jr.

Raymond F. Janis, Jr., age 79, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 in a local hospital. He was an engineer with M&M Mars and a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Iris Schilling Janis of Cleveland; two sons, William S. Janis of Seattle and Raymond S. Janis of Charleston; one daughter, Debbie Cook and husband Scott of Phoenix; and one granddaughter, Kasey Cook. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church with Rev. Albert Sescon officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery beginning at 1:30 p.m. and concluding with military honors.
