Dottie Mae Jones

Dortha "Dottie" Mae Jones, age 84, a resident of Decatur, and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. She was employed with Fay Swafford Originals for 21 years and was a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis C. and Ruth M. Johnson King; her husband, Raymond R. Jones; and three grandchildren, John R. Jones, Kristen M. Jones, and Jennifer L. Jones. Survivors include two sons, Larry Jones of Cleveland and Daniel Jones of Decatur; two brothers, Thomas L. King of Cleveland and Luther B. King of Detroit, MI; one sister, Juanita Johnson of Dunlap, TN; six grandchildren, Nick Jones, Travis Jones, Jody Jones, Kevin Jones, all of Cleveland, Whitney Jones of Georgia, and Ocean Jones of Decatur; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Nick Jones, Travis Jones, Jody Jones, Kevin Jones, Bobby Combs and Jason Brown serving as pallbearers.
