Angella Lohr, age 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 in a local healthcare facility. She was born in Buffalo Valley, TN on September 28, 1927 to the late Charles and Wilma Jones Niles. During the Depression, the family moved to Michigan where she attended high school and met her future husband, Donald Lohr. They married in Ypsilanti, MI on July 25, 1948 and after several moves during the years, they came to Collegedale, TN in 1964 and settled in Cleveland in 1988. Angella was a secretary by profession, and a loving caregiver to her husband. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting. She loved to sing and during her years in Michigan took voice lessons from Phyllis Diller. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lohr. Survivors include one son, David Lohr of Knoxville, TN; one daughter, Cyndi Hulsey (Steve) of Delano, TN; two sisters, Charlene White of Paradise, CA and Helen Smith of Sarasota, FL; two grandchildren, Travis (Amy) and Justin; and three great grandchildren, Isaac, Tristen, and Isabella. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Cedar Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor David Braun officiating.
