Phillip B. Sneed, 59, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at a local hospital. He was the son of the late Leonard Samuel Sneed and Cecil Logan Sneed and grew up living in McDonald, TN. He was a supervisor at Southeastern Container for seven years and worked for Maytag for thirty-three years. He enjoyed old cars, guns, horseshoes and old log cabins. He was a past member of the National Horseshoe Association. Phillip was a very loving husband and father who never put himself first. He was a giving and caring man who loved his family greatly and he was a good friend to many. He will be missed and remembered by all that knew him. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his father in law, Waymon Crisp. Survivors include his wife Teresa Sneed of Cleveland; sons, Gregory (Cathline) Sneed and Bradley Sneed, all of Cleveland; brother, Jack Sneed of Cleveland; sisters, Martha Lynn Sneed of Hot Springs, NC and Doris (Robert) Thompson of Chattanooga; four grandchildren, Austin, Justin, Mathew, and Triston Lowder; mother in law, Nola Crisp and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Underwood officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with his nephews serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
