Jack D. Bandy, 75, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 at his residence. He was employed with Allied Signal/Bendix for 32 years and he attended the Hopewell Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Crittenden Bandy; parents, Carl and Nell Leamon Bandy; sister, Marie Riden; and brother Wayne Bandy. Survivors include three sons, Dean Bandy (Dorthe), Steve Bandy (Shina), and Sam Bandy (Lisa); two daughters, Sarah Gentry (Don), and Crystal Christianson (Jordan); three grandsons; seven granddaughters; one brother, Thomas Bandy; four sisters, Norma Earls, Dorthy Gates, Wilma Rudd and Wanda Johnson; one aunt, Mildred Duggan; mother in law, Elayne Crittenden; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Jerry Millwood and Pastor Gene Dasher officiating. (A procession will leave Grissom Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. to go to the church for the service.) Interment will follow in the Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery with Wesley Gates, Tommy Bandy, Dewayne Bandy, Cliff Haney, Adam Haney, and Don Gentry serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Haney, Jimmy Shelton, Andy Scoggins and Corp. Aaron Scoggins. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home.
