John Culbreth McEntyre, 67, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at a local hospital. He was a member of Broad Street United Methodist Church where he had been president of his Sunday School Class. He was a past member of the Elk's Club, and enjoyed being a part of the Maytag Retiree Breakfast Club. He had taught management at Cleveland State Community College. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Daniel and Margaret Culbreth McEntyre, sisters; Connie McEntyre Whiddon and husband Jerry Whiddon, and Mary Florence Turner. He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth "Betsy" McEntyre, children; Charles S. McEntyre, and Dawn McEntyre Puster, grandchildren; Reilly Puster, Jakob Puster, and Stax McEntyre, brother-in-law, H. Douglas Turner, seven nephews; two nieces; two aunts; many cousins and dear friends. A gathering of friends and relatives will be held at 11:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home. Interment with graveside service will follow in Hilcrest Cemetery.
