Gladys Jane McCready

Gladys Jane McCready, age 79, of Cleveland, TN passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Athens Regional Medical Center. She attended Heritage Fellowship Church of God. In her earlier years she worked alongside her late husband assisting him in all aspects of pastoral ministry. In her later years she worked in the cafeteria of Lee University. She will be remembered fondly by all whose lives she touched with her sweet spirit and kind words. Mrs. McCready was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Ralph McCready; her parents, Sherman and Martha Milbourne; one son- in- law, Herbert Bowden Jr. She is survived by her son and his wife, Douglas and Jane McCready of Parksley, VA; daughter, Angela Bowden of Cleveland, TN; daughter and son- in- law, Karen and Carl Wade of Charleston, TN; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A home going service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with Reverend Don Pack officiating. Burial will also take place Saturday, March 3 at 3:00 p.m. CST at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, TN with Carl Wade, Josh Bowden, Jon Bowden, Joey Bowden, Matt Wade and Seth Wade serving as pallbearers.
