Freida Eleanor Cronan, 79, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012. She was a hospital volunteer and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary where she served as past president. She was a member of Tasso Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Houston McConnell and Lucy Alice Reynolds McConnell; husband, Mitchell Cronan; and son, Christopher Gale North. She is survived by her children, Joy Ann Phillips and husband, William of Forsyth, GA, Jerry Russell North, Jr. and wife, Shirley and Donna Darlene Cruz and husband, Eleazar, all of Loudon, Pamela Jean Harper and husband, Herb of Franklin, Mickey Cronan and wife, Beth of Benton and Joyce Moorhouse and husband, Walter of Ocoee; grandchildren, Angela Kathleen Maddox and husband, "Skip", William Andrew Phillips, Jaison Brown and wife, Amy, Jessica Tallent and husband, Chris, Walt Moorhouse, Amanda Dunn and husband, Kevin, Alexander Harper, Curtis Harper and Ellen Harper; five great grandchildren; brothers, Clifford McConnell and wife, Henrietta and Sam McConnell and wife, Joyce, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Cawood officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
