Ronald Johnston

Ronald Johnston, 75, of Cleveland and a former resident of Lenoir City, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in a local hospital. He retired from Galaxy Carpet Mills and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Grace Way Chapel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Callie Garner Johnston; twin brother, Donald Johnston; and four grandchildren, Carmen Long, Matraca Gunnoe, Casey Wooten and Randy Johnston II. He is survived by his children, Randy Johnston and wife, Tonya of Tunnel Hill, GA and Tina Gunnoe and husband, Jeff of Benton; three grandchildren, Ashley Johnston, Taylor Gunnoe and Tyler Gunnoe; two great grandchildren, Peyton Bell and Bentley Bell; sisters, Sherla Johnston and Carolyn Combs, both of Lenoir City; and Glen Johnston of Athens. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with the Reverend Ronnie Pearson and the Reverend David Crump officiating. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
