Casimir Yaniscavitch, 81, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at his residence. He retired after 41 years at M&M Mars as Senior Design Engineer. Cas was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War where he earned the Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Service Star and the National Defense Medal. He was a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church. Cas was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Casimir and Della Rinkus Yaniscavitch; son, Bryan Casimir Yaniscavitch; and sister, Priscilla Yaniscavitch. He is survived by his wife, Alice Yaniscavitch of Cleveland; daughters, Lori A. Yaniscavitch of Bellair Beach, FL and Terri McGuire and husband, Mickey of Greenville, MS; and three grandsons, Logan Duren, Nolan McGuire and Bryan McGuire. A funeral mass will be held at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2012 with Father Albert Sescon officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors. His family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Grissom Funeral Home.
