H. F. "Speck" Dunaway, 84, of Cleveland passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012. He retired from Bowater after 36 years where he was an electrician and supervisor. Speck also served in the National Guard. He was a member and Vice President of the Cleveland Jaycees; a member of the Cleveland Elks Lodge; and a member of IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). He was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church where he participated in the Friday morning prayer breakfast. Speck was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Richmond Dunaway and Ethel Lou Smith Dunaway; three sisters; and five brothers. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Dunaway of Cleveland; children, Karen Dunaway Mullins and husband, Gary of Hixson and Tami Dunaway Traczek and husband, Daniel of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Curtis Mullins, Michael Mullins, Tyler Goza and Seth Goza; and two sisters, Sylvia Spillman of Covington, LA and Shirley Stephens of Poplarville, MS. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2012 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with the Reverend Joel Huffstetler officiating. Interment will follow in St. Luke's Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Parish Hall prior to the service.
