Louise Garner Newman, age 66, resident of McDonald, TN, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012, in a local hospital. She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of McDonald United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women's Group. She was a member of the McDonald Senior Group, Bridgemakers and the Senior Circle. She loved her family, and especially loved her nieces and nephews. Her face would always light up whenever her babies came into the room. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Newman, father, Homer Garner, one nephew, Steven Myers and one great nephew, Ryan Moses. She is survived by her mother, Monettie Garner, McDonald, TN, two sisters, Lois Ann Myers and Norma Faye Kelly and two brothers, James Berlin Garner all of McDonald, TN and Homer David Garner, Etowah, TN; one special great nephew, Jace Taylor and special great niece, Brooke Taylor; 3 nieces, special niece, Angie Myers Taylor and Jennie Garner Davis and Misty Kelly and two nephews, Jeff Kelly and Chuck Garner. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Pastor Janet Geitner , of McDonald United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald, TN with James Garner, Gary Myers , John Burns , Johnny Pickett, Shawn Taylor, Leroy Taylor serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday, November 12, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home who has charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to www.grissomfh.net.
