Florence Green Higgins

Florence Elizabeth Green Higgins, 100, of Cleveland, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She loved to play the piano and organ and enjoyed decorating her house. Mrs. Higgins was a happy person and enjoyed life. She loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, A. B. and Hattie Bryan Green; husband, Roy Higgins; daughter, Betty Ainbender; brothers, A. B. Green, Milton Green and Dennis Green; and sister, Lena McCall. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Harris of Cleveland; grandchildren, Kerry Harris and David Charles Harris and wife, Veronica, all of Cleveland; great grandchildren, Brandon Harris and Taylor Harris Lanclos; great great grandchildren, Abby and Autumn Lanclos; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Grissom Funeral Home with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Wellington Place and Caris Hospice.
