Evealeen Couch Whitmire

Evealeen Couch Whitmire, 92, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. She was formerly employed by American Uniform for 31 years. She was a member of Big Spring Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lula Smith Couch; three brothers; and two sisters. She is survived by her children, Carlos Whitmire, Jr. and wife, Judy and Janice Summers and husband, Steve, all of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Keith Whitmire and wife, Eleanor and Renee Hampton, all of Cleveland; four great grandchildren, Shelbie Whitmire, Kelsey Whitmire, Karli Bledsoe and Drew Bledsoe; sister, Betty Lamprecht of Simpsonville, SC; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Mull and Geneva Whitmire; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with the Reverend Shane Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
