James Frank Cardinal

James "Jim" Frank Cardinal, 69, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 at his home. He was born in Freeport, IL on July 18, 1943 to the late Frank and Elizabeth Stamler Cardinal. Mr. Cardinal was a graduate of Aquin High School. He was retired from Maytag after 35 years of service. He was also a veteran of the United States Army and Air Guard. Survivors include his daughter, Michele Sampson and husband, Darren of Normal, IL; two grandchildren, Brett and Holly Sampson; and sisters, Carole Hoiberg and husband, Paul of Winnebago, IL, Joanne Cardinal of Freeport, IL and Julie Coates and husband, Brad of Palm City, FL. It was Mr. Cardinal's request to be cremated and to have his daughter and son-in-law spread his ashes up the Ocoee. There will be no services. The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
