Sallie Cofer Gibson

Sallie Cofer Gibson, 93, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. She was retired from Magic Chef. She was a member of Hampton Drive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Mae Bell Seaborn Cofer; husband, Horace Monroe Gibson; brothers, Thurman Cofer, Reuben Cofer, Earl Cofer and Roe Cofer; and sister, Nellie McFalls, Velma Goodner, Bessie Epperson, Nancy Davis and Mattie Loftis. She is survived by her daughter, Pam Higgins and husband, Randall of Cleveland; two grandchildren, Phillip Higgins of Columbia, SC and Trevor Higgins of Greenville, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Grissom Funeral Home with the Reverend Anthony Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jeff Bramlett, Robert Cofer, Phillip Higgins, N.C. Cartwright, Trevor Higgins and David Melton serving as pallbearers.
