Julian Lankford Burke, Sr., 80, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at his home. He retired from Honeywell as a Quality Control Inspector. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He attended Five Stones Fellowship with his family and was a member at First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Joe Bishop Burke; parents, Vernon and Laura Orr Burke; sister, Leatha Silvers; and brother, Donald Burke. He is survived by his son, Julian L. Burke, Jr. and wife, Kristi of Cleveland; grandchildren, Ezekiel "Zeke" Burke and Ema Leigh Burke, both of Cleveland; sisters, George Faye Bishop of Cleveland and Virginia Jo Burch of Chatsworth, GA; brothers, Forrest Burke of Cleveland and Boyle Burke of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Benton Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Jason Roberts and the Reverend Mike Varner officiating.
