Louise Barnard, 90, a lifetime resident of Bradley County, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2013. She was employed at Cleveland Casket Company during World War II, while her fiancé, Norman, served his country in the war. She was a faithful member of the North Cleveland Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Taylor Ingle Cawood and Charlie Annie Mooneyham Cawood; sisters, Gladys Haney and Juanita Cawood; and brothers, Roy Lee Cawood and Wayne Cawood. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Norman Barnard of Cleveland; daughter, Norma Melton and husband, Randall of Asheville, NC; two grandchildren, Emily Kytta and Mark Melton, both of Asheville; two great grandchildren, Christopher Kirkpatrick and Tyler Kytta; brothers, T.J. Cawood and wife, June and Taylor Cawood and wife, Jean, all of Cleveland; sisters-in-law, Joan Cawood of Cleveland and Inez Bush and Jean Barnard, both of Jacksonville, FL; special friend, Ariel Lusk of Cleveland; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013 at North Cleveland Baptist Church with Dr. Jay McCluskey and the Reverend Michael Cawood officiating. Her body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
