Buddy Charles Burrell

Buddy Charles Burrell, 71, of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. He was baptized at Shiloh Baptist Church. He was a gun and knife trader. Buddy knew all his loved ones birthdays and he always made a special effort to call those he loved on their special day to sing happy birthday to them. We will greatly miss that special quality along with his other unique personality traits. He was a wonderful Daddy, Pappaw, brother and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Fannie Raby Burrell; sisters, Mary Jo Hartmeyer and Shirley Lanning; and brother, Harrell Dean Burrell. He is survived by his children, Teresa Burrell Lawson and husband, Phillip of Oshkosh, WI and Emanual Burrell and wife, Kristy of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Justin and Joshua Burrell and Payton, Brenden and Charity "Maggie" Lawson; three sisters, Billie Kilpatrick of Charlotte, NC, Wanda Golding of Bedford, VA and Rebecca Lynch and husband, Clay of Cleveland; three brothers, Tony Burrell and wife, Darlene, Mike Burrell and Jacky Burrell and wife, Sharon, all of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Janice Burrell Talbott. A memorial service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with the Reverend Wilfred Wright and the Reverend Phillip Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
