James Carmon Mosley, 88, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at his residence. He was a retired from Bowater as a machine shop foreman. He was a charter member of Westmore Church of God. Mr. Mosley was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II and fought in battles in Germany. He was an avid carpenter. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lela Oliver Mosley. Survivors include his wife Mary Blake Johnson Mosley of Cleveland; children, Elizabeth Jane Mosley (Robert C.) French of Knoxville, James C. "Buddy" (Linda K.) Mosley, Jr. of Ooltewah, Jerre Blake (Adelia K.) Mosley of Chattanooga and Bruce Johnson "Johnny" (Angie) Mosley of Madison, AL; 8 grandchildren, Blake, James, Mary, Audrey, Caroline, Ethan Courtney and Carmen; 3 great grandchildren, Parker, Clayton and Owen; sister, Clarice Wilson of Atlanta, GA; and brother, R. A. Mosley of Atlanta, GA. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with the Reverend Johnny Mosley officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
