Steve D. Jones

Steve D. Jones, 59, of Cleveland passed away, Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in a local hospital. He was employed by Bowater for more than 20 years. He was a skilled mechanic and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Jones; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eugene and Christine Rominger and brother-in-law, Doug Wade. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Rominger Jones of Cleveland; mother, Mary Ellen Jones of Cleveland; three children, Jeana Belcher and husband, Billy, Deana Morgan and Stephanie Richardson and husband, Shawn, all of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Tori Roberts, Toby Morgan, Courtney Roberts, Carson Melton and Brody Morgan; three sisters, Ruth Blackwell and husband, Roy of Benton, Carlotta Wade of Cleveland and Lisa Hall and husband, Tracy of Cleveland; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Billy and Wanda Rominger, Edwina and Gene Dasher, Patsy and Larry Cross, Jackie and Dave Giordano and Gerri Rominger and Jim Fortin, all of Cleveland. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with the Reverend Shane Lawson officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Michigan Avenue Cemetery with Billy Belcher, Shawn Richardson, Toby Morgan, Tracy Hall, Dakota Leamon and Dallas Leamon serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Burris and Danny Lemons. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
