Reba Elizabeth McDonald Hyde

Reba Elizabeth McDonald Hyde, 82, a resident of Tellico Plains, passed away at her home on, Monday, July 8, 2013, after a lengthy illness. She was a life-long member of Landmark Church of Jesus of Cleveland. She was a retiree from F.W. Woolworths of Cleveland after 17 years of service and of Rose's Department Store after 15 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ronald L. Hyde, Sr.; her daughter, Sheila Hyde Cannon; her parents, John Henry McDonald and Iva Dixon McDonald; five brothers: John Henry McDonald, Jr., Woodrow McDonald, R. W. McDonald, William Andrew McDonald, and Bryan McDonald; and three sisters: Myrtle Louise Pierce , Ada Milen, and Gladys Lewis. Survivors include five sons and three daughters: Ronald L. Hyde, Jr. and wife, Ladonna; Phyllis D. Willis and husband, Jim, all of Cleveland; Gerald A. Hyde and wife, Laura; Marvin E. Hyde and wife, Barbara, all of Tellico Plains; Mitchell L. Hyde and wife Sandy, of Greenback; Gary S. Hyde and wife, Linda, of Tellico Plains; Janice A. Stine and husband, Edward, of Crossville; and Melanie E. Haynes of Tellico Plains; two sons-in-law: Herb G. Cannon, Jr., of Cleveland, and Randell W. Haynes, of Tellico Plains; 21 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Landmark Church of Jesus with her son, Rev. Ron Hyde, Jr. officiating. There will be a private family interment with Aric J. Hyde, Jeremy P. Hyde, Joshua D. Hyde, Adam L. Stine, Nathan G. Stine, and Zachary E. Haynes serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be, D. Keith Pryor, Jason L. Kennedy, Tim M. Sewell, and Roger D. Fairman, II. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Grissom Funeral Home in Cleveland. Arrangements are being handled by Grissom Funeral Home, Mark S.
