Hazel AlShabibi

Hazel AlShabibi, 76, of Cleveland, passed away, Sunday, August 25, 2013 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles, drinking coffee and watching the birds in her backyard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kais AlShabibi; parents, Oscar Underdown and Mamie Davis Underdown and siblings, Bussie Underdown, Betty Underdown, Dorothy Reid, Robert Underdown, Dillard Underdown and several half-brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Ahmed AlShabibi, Gregory Turner of Cleveland, Ayad AlShabibi, Joni AlShabibi of Cape Coral, FL and special daughter, Bridgett Woody of Cleveland; grandchildren, Hatham AlShabibi and Iman AlShabibi of Cape Coral, FL. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 in Sunset Memorial Gardens for close friends and family. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Grissom Funeral Home.
