John A Simpson

John Andrew Simpson, Sr., age 83, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Thursday evening, October 3, 2013, in a local hospital. He was retired from the United States Army with 20 years of service. He was also retired from the Federal Aviation Administration with 23 years of service. He was a member of the VFW and the NRA. His hobby was Genealogy. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Vesta Worley Simpson and Nathan Conway Simpson, his wife, Mildred Pass Simpson, Brothers, Halbert and Virgil Simpson and Sisters, Dorcus Shaw, Frances Simpson and Anna Sue Waller. He is survived by his daughter, Katrina Simpson and son and daughter in law, John Andrew (Drew) Simpson, Jr. and Cindy all of Cleveland; one brother, Nathan Charles Simpson, Loudon, TN and sister, Jane Tuck Loudon, TN; grandchildren, Courtney Simpson Cameron, John Andrew Simpson, III and Jake Aubrey Simpson. One great granddaughter, Macy Grace Cameron. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Simpson Cemetery in Loudon, TN with Dr. Terry Simpson officiating. Graveside will be concluded with full military honors.
