Sharon Ricks Thomas, 56, of Cleveland, passed away, Monday, October 21, 2013 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Riceville, TN. She was the owner of Thomas Contract Services. LLC. in Cleveland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Lucinda Dennis Ricks; daughter, Rachel Elizabeth Thomas; brother, Allen E. Ricks; sister, Lois Janette Ricks; nephews, Jeffery Scott and William Wayne Melton and father-in-law, Bedford Thomas. She is survived by her husband Steve Thomas of Cleveland; mother-in-law, Barbara H. Thomas; sister, Deana Ricks McCurry of Cleveland; brother, John Ricks and wife, Karin of CA; sisters-in-law, Lori Thomas, Janet Thomas and Susan Ricks and brother-in-law, Michael Thomas of MO. Several nieces and one nephew also survive. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2013 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with the Reverend David Peters officiating. A private family interment will be held in Michigan Avenue Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
