Harold Leroy "Roy" Goins, 80, of Cleveland, was carried away by his Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, Oct. 24, 2013, at his home. A native of McDonald he has lived most of his life in Cleveland, and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Tiney Carr Goins; sisters: June Almon and Arlene Evans; brothers: Johnny and Leonard Goins; and his mother-in-law, Emily Leona Watkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Frances Watkins Goins; daughter, Janice Goins Rutledge of Cleveland; grandsons: Tanner Rutledge and wife, Driane, of Signal Mountain and Tyler Rutledge of Cleveland; sisters: Joyce Hall and husband, Cecil, of Cleveland and Barbara Herron of Cleveland; brothers: Jim Goins and wife, Linda, of Georgia and Howard Goins of Cleveland; and several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, from the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the Moore's Chapel Cemetery.
