Edna Wells Green Anderson, 82, of Cleveland, passed away, Thursday, November 28, 2013 in a local hospital. She was a native of Benton, but spent most of her life living in Cleveland. She was a member of North Cleveland Church of God and served as the director of the Golden Agers group at South Cleveland United Methodist Church. She was a retired clerk at Schering Plough and started her career as a nurse at P&S Hospital and also served at Speck Hospital. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, spending time with family and loved serving others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Philmore Wells Green and Myrtle Mull Green; her husband, Johnny Anderson; grandchildren, Holly Paige Anderson, Katie Anderson and Cody Anderson and sisters, Louise Green, Patsy Green and Carolyn Davis. She is survived by her children, Lamar Anderson and wife, Yvonne, Mitchell Wells Anderson and wife, Dorotha, Jeff Anderson and wife, Cindy and Tonya Anderson Cooke and husband, Mike, all of Cleveland; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eula "Obba" Newberry, Billie McCracken and husband, Doyle, and Johnnie Stafford and husband, Don, all of Cleveland. Several nieces and nephews and other extended family members also survive. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2013 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with the Reverend Travis Porter and the Reverend Caleb N. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery with Jamey Taylor, Tommy Anderson, Johnathan Anderson, Casey Stanfield, Ethan Anderson and Logan Anderson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at the funeral home.
