Don Allen Chittenden

Don Allen Chittenden, 72, resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013, in a local hospital. He was of Presbyterian faith. He was employed by the Tennessee Department of Transportation and served in the Air National Guard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ben Chittenden and Alta Marler Chittenden and sisters, Marlene Dale and Helen Murray. He is survived by his wife, Doris M. Chittenden of Cleveland and brother, Bud Chittenden and wife, Ann of Cleveland. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Ray Marler officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Tom Chittenden, Joseph Mazurek, Paul Mazurek, Brent Burgner, Jimmy Stephens and Doug Albritton serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
