Jack (Jackie) Hugh Malone, 74, of Cleveland went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 27, 2014 surrounded by several members of his loving family and friends. Jack was the son of the late Agnes Mason and Albert Brooks Malone. Jack, his brother Pat and their father settled in Cleveland where Jack attended Bradley High School playing football for the Bears. Jack worked at Bowater Paper Mill and eventually worked for Magic Chef as a salesman. Jack was a recent newlywed and married Emma Bell this past November and even though they had a short time together they enjoyed one others company and companionship developing new and loving memories for Jack, Emma and extended family. Jack loved to dance and was teaching Emma some of his dance moves. Jack was a family man, Dad, Grandfather - Papa Jack as the kids called him and husband by his late wife, Alice Faye (Bull) Malone. Jack and Alice began their lives together in Cleveland. While working for Magic Chef his job took them to Ames, Iowa then onto St. Louis, MO where they spent the majority of their time raising their children. There journey came full circle as they returned to Cleveland. They were married 51 years until Alice went home to be with the Lord in Dec. 2008. Jack, Dad, Papa Jack, Mr. Jack was a man who loved his family and went to great lengths to provide for his family. He loved to make people laugh and always had a great sense of humor. The "Stove Man" as his friends from St. Louis called him always enjoyed his wit and funny manor about him. Jack was a St. Louis Cardinal and Rams fan. He loved to watch his children and grandchildren participate in their activities. He loved to dance and also loved the game of Golf and teaching the game to his children. Jack is survived by his wife, Emma Malone; daughter, Mitzie Riedel and husband, Phil of Cary, NC; sons, Jeffrey Malone and wife, Rhonda of Blue Springs, MO and Corey Malone and wife, Kendra of St. Charles, MO; six grandchildren: Maggie Malone, Jen Riedel, Mallory (Malone) Robinson, Annah Riedel, Abby Malone and Zach Malone. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with Dr. Jay McCluskey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
