Robert Eugene Morris Robert Eugene Morris, 64, a resident of Cleveland, TN, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, peacefully in his home surrounded by the ones he laughed with lived for, and loved. Robert was born in Cleveland, TN where he lived all his life. Robert worked for 27 years running his own business called Robert's Heating and Air, where he would repair and install central heating and air. He was also a well-known licensed electrician and one of the few to work with sheet metal. Family and friends were Robert's love and joy. He was a loving husband, devoted father, and the best grandfather to his grandchildren, whom he loved spending as much time as possible with. In his younger adult years he enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling. He also loved sports, such as football, baseball and horse racing. He was a devout Christian and attended Clingan Ridge Baptist Church and Unity Church of God. He was saved and baptized and live his life for Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents Horace Morris and Jessie Irene (Singleton) Morris and his brother, David Thomas Morris. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Gloria Morris; children, Dustin Morris and wife, Andrea and Mark Choate; grandchildren, Emma and Hunter Morris and Dakota Cass; siblings, Rod Morris and wife, Kathy, Ed Morris and wife, Elaine and Brenda Stinnett and husband, Guinn; sister-in-law, Louise Morris and mother-in-law, Pauline Kelley. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014 in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with Pastor Grady Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of Chattanooga Hospice for their dedication and effort to provide quality care over these past few months. They would also like to extend a heartwarming blessing to Margaret Long, Randy and Michelle Lawson and all the other members of the family that helped care for him since the beginning of this year.
