Annie Ruth Allen, age 86, a native and lifelong resident of Walker County passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in a Walker County Healthcare facility. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving others. She was also an avid reader and gardener.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Benjamin and Gertrude Dennis, one son; Steven Allen, brother; Whit Dennis and sister; Louise Lambert.
Annie was survived by her husband of sixty five years; Tommy Allen, one son; David (Debbie) Allen, of Torrance, CA, one daughter; Renee (Rusty) Wyatt of Chickamauga, Ga. six grandchildren; Heather (Jeremy)Furman, Jessica (Chris) Isbill, Brandy Wyatt, Shaun Allen, Andrea Moscola, Whitney Wyatt , great-grandchildren; Bailey, Alexis, Riley, sister; Beatrice Chandler of Rock Springs, GA, Gene (June) Dennis of Marietta GA., and several nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.
Service:
A graveside service will be held On Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at ll: 30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Allen Farris officiating.
