Calvin Gene Zimmerman passed away at his home in Ten Mile, TN on Sunday October 20th, at the age of 77.
Calvin is predeceased by his father, Rev Paul Zimmerman, and his mother, Ruth Zimmerman of Spring City, TN.
Calvin is survived by his loving wife Marilyn Bennett Zimmerman of 39 years.
Calvin is lovingly remembered by his daughter Rhonda Van Rhee of Hudsonville, MI, his daughter Reneta Mais of St. Joseph, MI, his daughter Relinda Barkel and son-in-law Greg Barkel of Wyoming, MI, his son Calvin Zimmerman, Jr. and daughter-in-law Laurie Zimmerman of Hudsonville, MI, his 12 grandchildren, his 4 great-grandchildren and 2 step-children.
He is also survived by his brother Rev. Dwight Zimmerman, his brother Titus (Ed) Zimmerman, his sister Joy Germaine Owsley, his sister Ruth Ann Zimmerman, and his 12 nieces and nephews.
Calvin was born in Grand Rapids, MI on July 31st, 1936. He graduated from Spring City High School in 1955 and went on to work at GM. Later, he opened Northland Pizza in Big Rapids, MI., and also ran many other businesses over the years with his brother Ed.
